Party
Please join us for an evening of “Jeans and
Green” on Friday, March 19th from 7:30 pm to 11:00pm in Memorial
Hall for Dinner and Dancing, with a special performance by the
Dublin City Rebels. Irish Beer Bar and wine included $45.00 per

Rosary Shrine Luncheon and Concert
March 25
The Rosary Shrine Guild will hold its annual
luncheon on Thursday, March 25 at 12:00 p.m. at the
Corpus Christi Auditorium, 234 Southern Blvd. in
Chatham. The highlight of the luncheon will be a
concert performed by "The Three Cantors", Angela
Intili Stokes, Mary Clare McAlee and Janet Natale. The three are music ministers at the
following churches: Angela Intili Stokes, St.
Teresa's Church, Summit, Mary Clare McAlee,
Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark and
Janet Natale, St. James the Apostle Church in
Springfield.
They will be singing sacred music, Broadway and
opera selections.
Tickets are $30 per person. Please make checks

4th Annual Baby
Shower
The Christ Child Society of Summit is
pleased to announce that their 4th Annual Baby Shower is scheduled
for Friday the 26th of March in Memorial Hall. Mass is scheduled for
11:30 a.m., followed by lunch. The event is complimentary, in lieu
of an entrance fee we ask that you bring new baby items for our
layette program. The list of items that we need include pajamas,
receiving blankets, and outfits for babies in sizes up to 12 months.
Alternatively a cash contribution to the layette program can be
made; please know that the cost of a complete layette is $40.

children in our area regardless of race or creed.
Annual Good Friday
Blood Drive
Our annual Good
Friday Red Cross Blood Drive will be held from 1:00 to 7:00 pm on
April 2nd in the Avila Room (adjacent to the playground). Please
plan on giving the most precious gift of all - the gift of life - to
those in need this Good Friday.
Our area is experiencing a critical blood shortage due to the recent
snowstorms, when the opportunity to collect more than 1,000
donations over two days was lost. Every day, blood is needed for
trauma and accident victims, heart surgeries, organ transplants, and
treatments for leukemia, cancer, and other diseases. Blood cannot be
manufactured or substituted - it's a way to give back! Your donation
could help your family, a friend, a neighbor, or even yourself.
Anyone 17 years and older and weighing at least 110 lbs. can donate.
16 year olds can donate with a signed parental consent form. Call
the rectory (277-3700) for an appointment, or stop by before or
after your Good Friday worship and prayer. You may also schedule an
appointment on-line at
www.pleasegiveblood.org/donate (enter sponsor code 12579). As
usual, our Rosarians will be providing some helpful and tasty
sustenance to those giving blood. Please bring proper ID when coming
to donate.
