ST. TERESA OF AVILA  MARCHERS  FOR LIFE 2011

Rev. Phil Sanders of Our Lady of Peace Church  and Marchers from St. Teresa, OLP, Knights of Columbus joined marchers from high schools, universities, churches and community groups from around the nation, marking the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision that legalize abortion, Roe v. Wade. Over 300,000 pilgrims attended Monday's 38th annual March for Life, lining the streets in Washington, D.C. This year  Marchers visited with Pro-Life Congressmen Chris Smith, Scott Garrett at a Pro-Life reception on Capitol Hill.

Our St. Teresa contingent also met with Congressman Leonard Lance of the 7^th Congressional District to urge his support of the following legislation: H.R.3, No Taxpayer Funding of Abortion Act; H.R. 258, Protect Life Act; and H.R. 361 Abortion Non-Discrimination Act. We presented Congressman Lance with a copy of a letter from Cardinal Daniel DiNardo, Chairman of the Bishops’ Committee on Pro-Life Activities, urging Members to support and cosponsor H.R. 3, H.R. 358, and H.R. 361. ST. TERESA OF AVILA PRAYS FOR LIFE

 St. Teresa conducted Holy Hours for Life with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, recitation of the Rosary for Life each hour on January 24^th for the intentions of the March for Life that our legislators & president will protect the life of the unborn child in the womb with pro-life legislation.
